A working meeting was held in an online format between representatives of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Druzhkivka City Council and colleagues from the Department of Social Protection of the Population and Health Care of the Zhmerynka City Council.
The event was organized as part of the implementation of the joint action plan of the national project "Shoulder to Shoulder: United Communities," which aims to establish partnerships, exchange experiences, and mutual support among communities in Ukraine in the context of war and systemic transformations.
The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of new mechanisms for the payment of social assistance in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 23, 2025, No. 766, which provides for the implementation of an experimental project for the centralization of certain social payments.
Participants shared their vision of the process of implementing this initiative, outlined the main challenges, and discussed ways to enhance the effectiveness of interaction at the level of local authorities. Special attention was paid to the practical aspects of organizing payments in communities that host internally displaced persons and support vulnerable categories of the population in the context of prolonged crisis challenges.
Such meetings are an important platform for establishing quality communication between communities that are in different conditions but share a common goal - to ensure an adequate level of social protection for every citizen.
