The Druzhkivka City Community in Donetsk Oblast and the Zolotonosha City Community in Cherkasy Oblast have become partners as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.”
The memorandum was signed by Andriy Pankov, head of the Druzhkivka City Military Administration, and Nataliia Syomak, secretary of the Zolotonosha City Council. During the meeting, they discussed specific areas for further cooperation.
They focused primarily on supporting people who were forced to leave their homes due to the war. This includes finding solutions for housing internally displaced persons and creating conditions for their adaptation, employment, and access to social and administrative services.
Special attention was given to opportunities for cooperation in the areas of education, culture, youth policy, support for veterans, humanitarian initiatives, and the exchange of management practices.
Today, it is extremely important for communities not to become isolated by their own problems, but to forge connections that help them persevere, support people, and move forward together.
