A representative of Donetsk region, my First Deputy Yurii Vynokurov, joined the Ukrainian delegation at the seminar. For our region, energy resilience is one of the key priorities, which is why we highly value our involvement in the cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and EU countries.
Over the years of the full-scale war, Russia has caused enormous damage to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. However, Ukraine has endured thanks to the work of energy professionals, the support of our partners, and the continuous search for and implementation of new solutions.
The seminar focused on decentralized power generation, alternative energy sources, energy efficiency, and technical solutions that can help communities become more resilient to attacks and blackouts.
Ukraine is already part of the European energy system. Our path toward the European Union means shared rules, shared standards, and practical technical cooperation.
For Donetsk region, energy resilience is about people’s safety and the ability of communities to rely not only on their own strength, but also on the power that keeps them connected and functioning.
