Published 30 January 2026 year, 16:45

As part of the Side by Side: United Communities project, an online event was held on January 30 on the topic of Key Challenges of Today: The Essence and Importance of Early Intervention Services from the IRC, which was attended by representatives of the Siverska and Onokivska communities.

During the meeting, participants discussed the relevance of introducing early intervention services in the context of implementing the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Environment in Ukraine by 2030. Participants actively engaged in interactive exercises aimed at "changing the paradigm" regarding the understanding and significance of early intervention services.

Svitlana Kolesnikova, director of the Siverska MBA Inclusive Resource Center, presented the experience of implementing early intervention services in the community until 2022 and also provided information about the possibilities for its implementation under martial law.

During the discussion, participants emphasized the importance of timely identification of the special educational needs of young children, the role of inclusive resource centers in providing comprehensive assistance, and the importance of a family-oriented approach in early intervention services.

The event helped raise awareness among specialists, exchange practical experience, and strengthen interagency cooperation for the effective support of children and their families in the current conditions.
