To provide information about state-guaranteed medical services, pathways to medical care, and available support programs, the National Health Service of Ukraine has prepared the “Guide for Veterans: Medical Guarantees 2026 in Plain Language.”
The Guide contains explanations regarding:
- primary, outpatient, and inpatient medical care;
- treatment of war injuries and their consequences;
- rehabilitation, particularly following amputations;
- psychological and psychiatric care;
- dental care and dental prosthetics;
- provision of medications;
- long-term medical care;
- medical care for cardiovascular, oncological, and other diseases;
- a procedure for addressing violations of patient rights.
The Guide will be useful for both male and female veterans and their family members, as well as for professionals who work with the veteran community and provide advisory support regarding access to medical services.
