On September 26, on the eve of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, the tenth anniversary online meeting of the Hear a Hero project took place. The event was organized by the Novohrodiv City Military Administration in cooperation with the Donetsk Regional State Administration.

The main hero of the meeting was Dmytro Chernolutskyi, a senior lecturer at the Department of Tactical and Specialized Training and Personal Security of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, and a machine gunner by military specialty, a true defender of Ukraine. He shared his experience of defending his homeland with the participants, talking about the war, personal choice and values that remain unshakable even in the most difficult times.

The event was attended by Liliia Zolkina, Head of the Department for Family, Youth and Mass Events of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Artur Nasibian, Head of the Department for Veterans' Policy of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Olga Sidorova, Deputy Mayor of Novohrodivka, and representatives of the Donetsk Regional State Administration who implement the policy of national and patriotic education.

The online meeting was attended by about 400 participants - students, teachers and mentors from different communities in Donetsk Oblast. They got a unique opportunity to talk to the Hero, ask questions and hear sincere and frank answers.

Lilya Zolkina noted: "This meeting is extremely important. Our Hero managed to penetrate into the hearts of each participant, inspiring them with his sincerity and strength of spirit."

The meeting was extremely interesting and intense: Dmytro played the guitar and the participants sang songs together, which added a special emotional atmosphere to the event. Instead of the planned one hour, the event lasted almost two hours, the conversation was so fascinating.

Olha Sydorova emphasized the importance of the project: "Hear the Hero is a bridge between generations, a space where young people hear the truth from those who defend Ukraine. These meetings foster patriotism through living examples and sincere stories, helping young people to feel the human face of war and understand the price of freedom."

In total, about 1600 participants have joined the Hear a Hero project since its inception. Each meeting contributes to the education of a conscious generation of Ukrainians who not only listen but also remember the deeds of the defenders.

The project is a platform for live communication between young people, teachers, mentors and defenders of Ukraine. It allows the Heroes to feel their importance in society, share stories that cannot be found in textbooks, and helps the participants to develop respect for their deeds and a deep understanding of the value of freedom.
