The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, in partnership with the State Employment Service, has launched a pilot government program aimed at addressing workforce shortages in Ukraine's strategic sectors, with a particular focus on the defense industry.
What does the program offer?
- Ukrainians can receive fully funded training tailored to a specific job vacancy.
- Employers can receive compensation for the costs of upgrading their employees' qualifications.
Key participation requirements
- Training may last up to six months.
- After completing the training, participants must be employed within 30 days for a minimum period of three to six months.
- Employers must have no outstanding wage arrears or tax debts.
How can job seekers receive funded training?
- Submit an application through the State Employment Service website.
- Once the employer approves the candidate, a tripartite agreement is signed between the Employment Service, the employer, and the participant.
How can employers receive compensation?
- Organize and finance the employee's training.
- Obtain an official qualification certificate upon completion.
- Submit an application for reimbursement within 30 days of receiving the training certificate.
