The Own Business program, implemented under the Government’s eRobota initiative, has already helped thousands of Ukrainians fulfill their dream of starting a business or expanding an existing one. At the same time, a grant is not only financial support from the state but also a commitment to fulfill specific obligations aimed at developing businesses and creating new jobs.
The main objective of the program is to support entrepreneurship and create new employment opportunities. Therefore, the number of employees a recipient must hire depends on the amount of the microgrant. For entrepreneurs in the Donetsk region:
Up to UAH 300,000 – at least one new job must be created.
Up to UAH 500,000 – at least two new jobs must be created.
Microgrant recipients are also required to:
Use the grant funds solely for their intended purpose;
Conduct business activities for at least three years;
Pay all required taxes;
Ensure employment of the hired workers in accordance with the program requirements (for at least 24 months).
It is important to know that the microgrant is effectively repaid through the payment of taxes and mandatory contributions to the state budget. If the program's conditions are not fulfilled, the recipient may be required to repay part or all of the microgrant.
State support provides a real opportunity to launch or expand your own business. The key is to approach your obligations responsibly and carefully plan the development of your business.
