The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss current public health issues in the region, existing problems, and ways to address them. The meeting addressed current health challenges facing the region’s residents, as well as the directions in which the regional public health system should continue to develop.

The following reports were presented at the Council meeting:

- on conducting a strategic assessment of risks to the health and sanitary well-being of the population of Donetsk Oblast;

- on the organization and conduct of European Immunization Week in the Donetsk region in 2026;

- on engaging youth in active participation in community sports life and promoting sports and physical culture among the population;

- on the mental health and emotional well-being of students in general secondary education institutions.

Following the presentations, the Council members developed a series of proposals and agreed on the specific steps to be taken next. A formal resolution was drafted based on these recommendations.

The protocol, approved by the Council Chair—First Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Yuriy Olegovich Vinokurov—will be forwarded to Council members and heads of municipal military administrations in Donetsk Oblast for implementation.

Thus, the Council meeting served not only as a forum for discussing issues but also as a starting point for concrete actions aimed at strengthening public health in the region.
