The public organization "Dobropillia's Works" was founded in 2019 by active residents who wanted to see their city become more united and open to new ideas. Since then, the team has grown, united like-minded people from all over the country, and implemented a number of important social, educational, and humanitarian projects.
Despite the war and the difficult security situation in Dobropillia, the organization has not stopped its activities, and now its activities extend to the entire Donetsk region and other regions of Ukraine.
The priority areas of work of "Dobropillia's Creations" are strengthening women's participation in local government processes, promoting gender equality, supporting the elderly and internally displaced persons, and working with psychosocial assistance. The team also focuses on strengthening social cohesion, supporting vulnerable groups, and developing a culture of dialogue in communities.
In recent years, the NGO has implemented a number of projects in cooperation with international partners, including the International Renaissance Foundation, the Czech humanitarian organization People in Need (PIN), the BEARR Trust, and others. These were initiatives aimed at integrating IDPs, providing psychological assistance to residents of frontline areas, adapting older people, and raising legal awareness among young people.
Today, the NGO's team includes specialists in various fields, from psychologists to mediators and social project managers. Among those who stood at the origins and continue to move the organization forward are Maryna Kucherenko, Tetiana Voytyuk, and Revaz Tateishvili.
A separate page in the history of the public association is the creation of the RePost Free Space in Dobropillya. It was a platform where active residents of the city gathered to discuss ideas and implement joint initiatives. "RePost" became a symbol of the community's responsibility for its own development and proof that people can create centers of trust and interaction together. Now it is not working because of the war, but the experience of its existence has become the foundation for further activities of "Create Dobropillia" in other formats and regions.
In May 2025, the organization launched a new project, "Networking of CSOs in Donetsk Oblast," which is being implemented in cooperation with the Donetsk Oblast State Administration. Its goal is to establish cooperation between more than 60 public associations in the region, strengthen coordination of their activities, discuss needs and resources, and preserve the identity of Donetsk region.
"Dobropillia's Works" continues to expand its partnerships to respond to the current challenges of society. And even in times of war, its team proves that joint work and support can make people's lives better.
