Ihor Boiko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, made a working visit to the humanitarian hubs—the IDP Support Centers of the Druzhkivka and Novodonetsk territorial communities—which are operating in Kropyvnytskyi.

The centers were established at the beginning of the year as part of a collaboration between the Druzhkivka and Novodonetsk communities to support residents of Donetsk Oblast who were forced to leave their homes due to the war. The coordinators of the humanitarian centers are Tetiana Nechipurenko and Larysa Varchenko.

During his visit, Ihor Boiko familiarized himself with the main areas of the centers’ work and spoke with the managers, staff, and IDPs. During the meeting, they discussed the current needs of IDPs, issues related to the further development of the humanitarian spaces, and the expansion of services for residents of the region.

Today, support centers have become vital hubs for providing assistance to IDPs. The humanitarian hubs of the Druzhkivka and Novodonetsk communities in Kropyvnytskyi continue to offer essential support and assistance, and the number of visitors is steadily growing. Since the start of operations, over 430 food packages have been distributed.

The humanitarian hubs provide legal counseling, psychological support, guidance on social protection, assistance with employment, and administrative services. They also host educational, informational, and cultural-entertainment events, as well as workshops and classes for children and adults. In total, the centers have already organized about 100 diverse events.

Such initiatives once again demonstrate the solidarity of Donetsk region communities and their commitment to supporting people even far from home, creating a space for care, mutual aid, and social adaptation for citizens.
