Today, May 8, on Remembrance Day and Victory Day over Nazism in World War II, in the city of Dnipro, representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, together with the Mariupol District State Administration, gathered at the Monument of Eternal Glory to lay flowers and pay tribute to the Heroes who fought for the freedom, peace, and independence of our country.
Participants in the event observed a moment of silence to honor the memory of all those who fell during World War II, as well as the Ukrainian soldiers who have died defending Ukraine today. It is symbolic that on this very day, Ukrainians commemorate the heroic deeds of those who fought against Nazism, while also expressing gratitude to today’s defenders who continue the struggle for the country’s independence and territorial integrity.
The Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism serves as a reminder of the high price of peace, the importance of unity, and the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people in the face of any challenge.
Eternal memory to the fallen Heroes. Glory to Ukraine!
