Ihor Boiko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, took part in a meeting on issues related to the fuel and energy sector, industrial policy, environmental protection, natural resources, digital transformation, innovation and technology development, national security, defense, veteran policy, and healthcare.
During the meeting, participants discussed a number of important legislative initiatives and government decisions aimed at strengthening environmental safety, supporting veterans, developing the country’s industrial potential, and strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
In particular, they reviewed draft laws of Ukraine regarding amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine to improve liability for criminal offenses against the environment and in the field of waste management. Special attention was paid to issues of liability for violations of requirements regarding the granting of status in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of Their Social Protection.”
The meeting participants also discussed draft resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, specifically regarding amendments to the procedure for implementing a pilot project to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense by engaging air defense units.
Among the key items on the agenda were the approval of the Strategy for the Development of Industries Based on Mineral Resources and Components of Strategic and Critical Importance through 2056, as well as the adoption of an operational action plan for 2026–2028.
Separately, they discussed issues related to ensuring the preparation and conduct of national and international sports competitions and physical education and health events for war veterans, as well as the participation of official Ukrainian veteran national teams in international sports events abroad.
Participation in such meetings contributes to the development of effective public policy in the areas of security, the environment, support for veterans, industrial development, and social protection for citizens.
