The Third Congress of Women of Donetsk Region, an important platform for dialogue that brings together active women of the region, representatives of the government, the security and defense sector, international organizations, the diplomatic corps, business and public initiatives, has started in Kyiv.
This year's theme is "From the Challenges of Today to the Vision of the Future." The Congress is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security.
The goal of the Congress is to form a common vision of the future of women in Donetsk Oblast, summarize the implementation of the regional action plan "Women, Peace and Security" and identify priorities for the coming years.
The Congress is organized by the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Smarta NGO and the 1325 Donetsk Region Coalition with technical support from UN Women in Ukraine and funding from the governments of Sweden and Denmark.
Women of Donetsk region are a force that not only overcomes challenges but also shapes the vision of the future of the region and the country.
