The Head of the region met in Donetsk region with senior officials from the UN family: UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine Matias Schmale, Head of the OCHA Office in Ukraine Andrea De Domenico, and UNICEF Representative in Ukraine Munir Mammadzade, along with their teams.
The discussion focused on key issues — preparation for the heating season, evacuation and the needs of internally displaced persons, protection and uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure.
Special attention was given to water supply in case of blackouts — the need for generators and fuel and lubricants. The parties reviewed in detail all stages of civilian evacuation and possible formats of assistance for IDPs.
