A pension is a monthly pension payment in the solidarity system of compulsory state pension insurance, which an insured person receives upon reaching the retirement age specified in the Law of Ukraine No. 1058-IV of July 9, 2003, “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance,” or is recognized as a person with a disability, or is received by members of their family in cases specified by this Law.
The legislation defines the types of pension payments: old age, disability, loss of breadwinner, and length of service.
An application for a pension and the necessary documents can be submitted via the Pension Fund of Ukraine's e-services web portal https://portal.pfu.gov.ua or in person at any service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, regardless of place of residence, registration, or stay.
