A pension is a monthly payment within the solidarity system of mandatory state pension insurance, received by an insured person upon reaching the statutory retirement age set by the Law of Ukraine of July 9, 2003 No. 1058-IV “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance”, or in the event of disability, or received by family members in cases defined by this Law.
The legislation defines the following types of pension payments: old-age pension, disability pension, survivor’s pension, and length-of-service pension.
An application for a pension and the required documents can be submitted via the web portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine’s electronic services — portal.pfu.gov.ua, or in person at any service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, regardless of the applicant’s place of residence, registration, or stay.
