As part of the “Palitra” project, the first meeting with a psychologist took place, dedicated to the topic “How to Cope with Stress and Stay Afloat in Today’s Fast-Paced World.”
During the session, participants discussed what stress is, how to recognize it, and why it occurs. Together with the specialist, they explored key questions such as:
- what exhausts a person the most;
- how the constant flow of news, social media, and the “productivity race” affect our well-being;
- how to maintain one’s inner resources and avoid burnout, even with a heavy workload.
The psychologist emphasized that stress is an integral part of life, and it is important not to avoid it, but to learn how to live alongside it — calmly, mindfully, and with an understanding of one’s own limits.
Such events contribute to strengthening mental health, fostering a culture of self-support, and helping everyone realize that taking care of one’s own well-being is not a luxury, but a necessity.
The event was implemented by the NGO “Youth Center ‘Territory of Initiative’” in cooperation with the Donetsk Regional Youth Center, within the framework of the mini-grant program for youth centers under the project “Democratic Integration, Resilience and Engagement (Ukraine-DARE)”, implemented by Democracy Reporting International Ukraine (DRI) with the financial support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
