Today, Ukraine is undergoing profound transformations on its path toward European integration. And at the heart of these changes lies education. The EU Information Center at Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University understands better than anyone else that to be part of a single European space, one must speak “the same language” as Europeans.
That is why the “City of Meanings” hub hosted events as part of the EU Delegation to Ukraine’s “EUkraine: Study and Networking” project, where the theory of European integration was transformed into practical opportunities for self-improvement for the youth of Vinnytsia.
High school and college students participated in the following activities:
🔹 a meeting with the European Youth Ambassador and an alumna of EU Study Days;
🔹 a panel discussion on “A United Europe: Origins, Struggles, and the Future”;
🔹 a youth debate titled “Ukraine and Europe: Complex Questions Without Simple Answers.”
In his opening remarks, University Rector Ilya Khadzhinov noted that for Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University, European integration is not merely an external goal but an internal standard of quality. Within this standard, the university’s mission is to provide young people with the tools to not merely observe Ukraine’s accession to the EU, but to become direct architects of this process.
The event served as a catalyst for networking, bringing together active individuals around a common goal - a successful, free, and European Ukraine.
