A pension is a monthly pension payment within the solidarity system of compulsory state pension insurance, received by an insured person upon reaching the retirement age established by the Law of Ukraine dated July 9, 2003 No. 1058-IV “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”, or upon being recognized as a person with a disability. Pension payments may also be received by family members in cases defined by this Law.
Legislation defines the following types of pension payments: old-age pensions, disability pensions, survivor’s pensions, and length-of-service pensions.
An application for pension assignment and the required documents can be submitted via the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine at https://portal.pfu.gov.ua/ or in person at any service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, regardless of the applicant’s place of residence, registration, or stay.
