Ukraine is implementing a strategy to create a barrier-free space, so today it is more relevant than ever to talk about a culture that is open to everyone, regardless of physical or sensory limitations. Barrier-free access is a necessity that shapes a truly just society.
Representatives of cultural institutions of local communities in Donetsk region, educational institutions, public organizations, and initiative communities are invited to join a specialized online training course entitled "Cultural adaptation for people with disabilities: developing inclusive programs and activities," which will take place on June 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. on the Google Meet platform.
The training will cover practical cases, modern methods of creating an accessible environment, principles of universal design, and effective tools for adapting events to different needs. You will learn how to create an inclusive cultural event from scratch; how to adapt spaces for physical, sensory, and communication accessibility; how to interact with people with disabilities and involve them in cultural life on an equal basis.
