Inclusive business is not only socially important but also economically beneficial — employees with different abilities bring fresh ideas, motivation, and commitment to the common cause. This topic — implementing inclusive approaches in employers’ activities and learning about the new employment rules for people with disabilities that will take effect on January 1, 2026 — was the focus of an online meeting for employers in Donetsk region, which gathered over 400 participants.
The event was organized by the Donetsk Regional Employment Center in cooperation with the Donetsk Regional Office of the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities and the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Donetsk Region.
In her opening remarks, Acting Director of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center Nataliia Adamova noted:
“Barrier-free accessibility is not about benefits — it’s about efficiency and development. We are not just helping to find employees — we are creating conditions where everyone can realize their potential.”
During the meeting, participants also discussed state mechanisms for supporting inclusive business, including compensation for workplace adaptation costs for employees with disabilities. The event also featured presentations of modern digital employment services — the Unified Job Portal, the Employer’s e-Cabinet, and the mobile app “State Employment Service.”
The Donetsk Regional Employment Service will continue supporting employers who create barrier-free workplaces, helping businesses grow and people find decent employment.
