Despite all the trials of war and forced relocation, the Kramatorsk Center for Vocational Education and Training continues to provide practical training for young professionals in conditions close to real-world production. Thanks to cooperation with the Dnipro Vocational School, students have the opportunity to study in comfortable and technically equipped workshops, mastering modern working professions.
From October 13 to 17, the first-year students of the specialty "Metalworker. Electric and Gas Welder" specialty, a week of on-the-job training was held for their first introduction to the world of welding. It was five days of discovery, when theory met practice, and interest turned into self-confidence.
Together with their teacher, Serhiy Plis, the students studied the structure of welding equipment, the principles of its operation, material properties, and the basics of safety. Under the guidance of Volodymyr Malyi, they worked on a virtual simulator, which allowed them to safely practice ignition and maintenance of the welding arc.
The week culminated in a practice session in a real welding workshop under the guidance of master Sergey Shpak. Here, for the first time, the guys held an electrode in their hands, adjusted the equipment and saw real sparks flashing under their hands - a symbol of their professional start.
Fifteen students demonstrated diligence, attentiveness and a sincere desire to improve. Many hours of practice lie ahead, but these first sparks were the beginning of the path to professional excellence.
