Victoria Volskaya – participant in the 2025 regional competition “Woman of Donetsk Region,” nominated in the category “Creator of Change and Opportunities”
With the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022, Victoria Volskaya did not lose her composure, but gathered her strength, knowledge, and heart to support others. A lawyer, human rights activist, volunteer, WenDo assertiveness trainer, coordinator of the Ukrainian Women's Congress in Donetsk Oblast, and founder of the NGO “Country of Free Community,” she works daily with communities, women, youth, and internally displaced persons, creating spaces of strength, dignity, and interaction.
During the most difficult moments of the war, Viktoria was involved in evacuation, humanitarian aid, legal counseling, organizing training sessions, and supporting initiatives that helped people survive. Her projects are not just a reaction to challenges, but systematic work on recovery, education, and the protection of rights.
Victoria is not only a leader but also a caring friend who is always there to lend a shoulder to cry on. “It is important to me that every woman knows that she has the right to be, to act, and to change,” she says. Her story is an example of strength, dignity, and inspiration. Supporting women like her means supporting a future where there is room for justice, equality, and light.
