Kateryna Kravchenko introduces the European audience to the national heritage of Ukraine.

Published 27 June 2025 year, 10:04

On June 28, 2025, it will be 29 years since the Constitution of Ukraine was adopted. This year, we will once again celebrate the national holiday in the conditions of armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Despite the horrors of war, life in Donetsk region continues: children continue to receive education, residents of the region have access to medical and social services, and conditions are being created for the development of creative abilities, etc.

On the occasion of Constitution Day of Ukraine, the regional state administration has launched a regional campaign "The Constitution of Ukraine through the Prism of War." The stories of the residents of Donetsk region once again prove that even in a state of war, the commitment to constitutional principles is important for the Ukrainian state – the affirmation of human rights and freedoms, compliance with universal and European values, which the Ukrainian people bravely defend in modern conditions, protecting freedom, territorial integrity, independence, and sovereignty of Ukraine.

Article 23. Every person has the right to free development of their personality, provided that the rights and freedoms of others are not violated, and has obligations to society, in which the free and comprehensive development of their personality is ensured.

Kateryna Kravchenko is a 7th-grade student of the vocal and choral department of the communal institution of specialized artistic education "School of Arts of the Bakhmut City Territorial Community." The girl has become a bright example of Ukraine's cultural diplomacy abroad. Despite the war and forced relocation to Slovakia, she continues to actively develop in the field of musical art and represents Ukrainian culture at the international level with dignity.

In 2024–2025, Kateryna received a scholarship from the Donetsk Regional Military Administration for her high creative achievements. In a year, she became a laureate of over 30 international, 6 nationwide, and 3 regional vocal competitions.

Currently, Kateryna lives in Bratislava with her family, where she actively participates in concerts organized by the Ukrainian Institute and other cultural initiatives. She performs Ukrainian folk songs, introducing the European audience to the national heritage of Ukraine. Kateryna is a member of the Ukrainian Children's Youth Parliament in Slovakia, participates in public initiatives, and presents cultural programs, demonstrating how art can be a language of unity, support, and national dignity.

“Music is my way of talking about Ukraine. Every song is a piece of our soul, our history, our strength,” shares Kateryna. Distance learning at the School of Arts of the Bakhmut community allows her to maintain a connection with her native educational institution despite the distance and continue her professional growth.

Donetsk region is proud of its talents! We believe that with each passing year, there will be even more opportunities to discover and support them!
