On June 26, a meeting was held with veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from the Pokrovsk territorial community
The event was attended by the head of the Department of Veteran Policy of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Artur Nasibyan, acting head of the Pokrovsk District State Administration, head of the district military administration, Oleksandr Fomenko, the leadership of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration, the head of the Department of Veteran Policy of the District State Administration, Hanna Kyshchyk, representatives of the Department of Social Protection, the Pension Fund, the Employment Center, and the Charity Fund "Right to Protection".
The open dialogue format allowed veterans and relatives of fallen Defenders to ask important questions, share their problems, and receive comprehensive answers from relevant specialists. Participants discussed issues related to the provision of social guarantees and benefits at the state, regional, and local levels, the mechanism for paying annual monetary assistance by Ukraine's Independence Day in 2025, and also learned about active employment service programs aimed at supporting combatants, persons with disabilities due to the war, and families of fallen Defenders.
The conclusion of the meeting was dedicated to honoring the memory of the fallen Heroes – those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
Such meetings are a step towards strengthening unity in the community, fostering trust between the authorities and citizens, and demonstrating that veterans are not only warriors of the past but true leaders of the present and bearers of the values of the Ukrainian nation.
