The online meeting was attended by heads of departments involved in ensuring children's rights. Save the Children was represented by Gevorg Jenderedjian, Director of the Eastern Regional Office, and Guram Matiashvili, Partnership Officer.

The discussion focused on expanding opportunities to support children in Donetsk Oblast: both those who remain in the region and those who have been evacuated to safer regions of Ukraine.

The issues of education and leisure in a state of martial law were discussed. Special attention was paid to the upbringing of orphans and children deprived of parental care in foster families and family-type children's homes.

Oksana Golovko, Director of the Department of Investment, Innovation Development, and External Relations of the Regional State Administration, spoke about cooperation with international partners in this area and expressed hope for deeper cooperation with Save the Children.

Founded over 100 years ago, Save the Children is the world's first independent organization dedicated to protecting and supporting children.

In 2014, Save the Children launched its activities in eastern Ukraine, and in 2022, it expanded them. Since the start of the full-scale war, Save the Children has supported over 1 million people in Ukraine.
