The “Side by Side: United Communities” project is about partnership, mutual support, and concrete actions that bring communities together even when hundreds of kilometers separate them.
On the initiative of the Khlibodarivka Village Military Administration in Donetsk Oblast and with the support of the Lopushne Village Council in Ternopil Oblast, authorities, business representatives, and concerned citizens joined forces for an important cause: organizing a health retreat for a child from the Khlibodarivka community who requires special attention and support.
Thanks to charitable donations, 40,000 hryvnias were raised, making it possible to organize a 13-day health treatment program at the Znam’yanska Regional Balneological Hospital in Kirovohrad Oblast.
During his stay at the facility, the young man, accompanied by one of his parents, underwent therapeutic, health-improving, and rehabilitative procedures, engaged in physical activity, took advantage of the facility’s natural therapeutic resources—including mineral water—and enjoyed a full rest.
The Khlibodarivska community sincerely thanks the Lopushnenska community, business representatives, and all donors who responded to the initiative to help a child.
Behind every act of support like this lies more than just numbers and funds. It represents days of recovery, necessary medical treatments, physical activity and rest, support for parents, and, most importantly, an opportunity for the child to improve their health and experience positive emotions. This is exactly how a true partnership works—when communities grow closer, pool their resources, and work together to help those who need support the most.
