On the eve of the All-Ukrainian Day of Libraries, an online meeting under the symbolic title "Book Bridge of Friendship" was held as part of the "Side by Side: United Communities" project.

The event was joined by the Toretsk City Central Library and its branches, the Ruzhyn Public Library branch of the Cultural and Leisure Center of the Ruzhyn Village Council, and the Taras Shevchenko Public Library in Kaniv.

During the meeting, each library presented its own experience and activities:

  • The Toretsk City Central Library spoke about its work after the relocation and shared new initiatives and projects. Participants focused on ways to adapt to new conditions, maintain team unity, and keep in touch with readers.
  • The Ruzhyn Public Library branch shared its experience in organizing a volunteer movement, which has become a vivid example of active citizenship and care for people's needs.
  • The Taras Shevchenko Public Library in Kaniv presented a story about the city of Kaniv, its history and cultural heritage, as well as the library's current activities and its role in the community.

This warm meeting confirmed that despite the distance and challenges of today, Ukrainian libraries remain a united family united around books, knowledge and culture.
