After relocating to Kryvyi Rih, Anna Chala discovered herself in a new profession and started her career from a fresh page. Employment service specialists helped her along this path.
By education, Anna is an economist. In 2011, she graduated from the Donetsk Institute of Railway Transport and earned her long-desired qualification. She lived in Avdiivka, but due to the war, she was forced to move to a safer region. Finding a job in her field proved challenging: employers were reluctant to hire a young specialist without extensive experience.
Anna did not give up. She took her first step toward change by getting a job as a junior nurse providing care for patients. It was there that she realized her true calling — helping people. That’s when the idea of becoming a social worker emerged.
This became possible thanks to the employment service. Anna received a voucher, successfully completed retraining, and today works in her new profession at the hub of the Avdiivka community. Her new career allows her to support other displaced people every day: helping them adapt, recover, and find resources for life in their new surroundings.
The employment service provides comprehensive support to internally displaced persons: from consultations and career guidance to training and retraining programs, compensation for employers who hire IDPs, and assistance in starting a business. We help everyone find an individual solution for their situation.
