The stories our specialists work with are always about people—their lives, challenges, and hopes. Especially touching are those where a single request is not only about finding a job, but about responsibility for an entire family. Such is the story of Eduard, the father of a large family raising five children aged from 1.2 to 10 years.
The family recently evacuated from the village of Stepnohirsk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. They had to leave in a hurry, saving what mattered most—the lives of their children. Many belongings were left behind, and in the new place everything had to start almost from scratch. In these difficult circumstances, employment became critically important, as a stable income meant a chance to restore a normal life.
With our support, Eduard was successfully employed at Lamella State Enterprise in the city of Tiachiv, Zakarpattia Oblast. For us, it is important not only to find a job for a person, but also to make sure they have decent living conditions and an opportunity to recover after forced displacement.
We especially value the fact that the enterprise demonstrates a high level of social responsibility and provided Eduard, as an internally displaced person, with temporary housing.
For the father of a large family, this opportunity became a real chance to regain confidence in tomorrow and to ensure safe living and development conditions for his children.
But this story is not only about work. Having learned that the children evacuated with almost no belongings, the staff of the Donetsk Regional Employment Service decided to offer heartfelt help. The children received toys, books, coloring books, educational games, sweets, diapers, and other essential items.
Every toy and every gift spoke louder than words. The children’s smiles, their sincere emotions, and joy from simple things became the most valuable gratitude for the employment service specialists—and a true confirmation that this support was genuinely needed.
