Last week, the team of Donetsk National University named after Vasyl Stus underwent training in the latest module "Finance, Projects, Resources" of the Professional Development Program for Academic Managers – a unique initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, implemented by the British Council as part of the joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science and the World Bank "Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results" (Ukraine Improving Higher Education for Results Project – UIHERP).
The module was dedicated to the following issues:
- discussion on policy with the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhailo Vynnytskyi;
- international projects/grants and the role of the project office;
- commercialization of science;
- partnership with business;
- risk management and crisis management. Data-driven decision making. Digitalization of financial management;
- familiarization with the best domestic and foreign cases.
We are confident that participation in the program will significantly improve the institutional capacity of the University, allowing for the implementation of even more projects aimed at the recovery and strengthening of Donetsk region and Ukraine.
