In the context of the Russian Federation’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, a significant number of our citizens have been taken prisoner or are missing, and their families need adequate information support.
To locate those missing as a result of the armed conflict and to secure the return of Ukrainian defenders and civilians held by the aggressor state, the Coordination Headquarters utilizes an information system for the treatment of prisoners of war.
Using the capabilities of this information system, family members of those held captive can register for a personal account, through which they will receive online updates regarding their loved ones.
This information includes: status as a prisoner of war; confirmation of prisoner-of-war status from the International Committee of the Red Cross; place of detention; confirmation that the deprivation of personal liberty resulted from armed aggression against Ukraine; and other relevant details.
