On June 30, the Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Shevchenko, held another meeting of the Coordination Center for Supporting the Civil Population.

Leaders of structural divisions of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, territorial divisions of central executive authorities; the head of the Council on Internally Displaced Persons under the Donetsk Regional State Administration, heads of district state administrations, representatives of military administrations; leaders of public organizations participated in the event.

During the meeting, participants discussed a number of important issues, in particular — providing additional social guarantees for veterans, their family members, and the families of fallen Defenders of Ukraine.

This year, the communities of the region have allocated funding for providing sanatorium-resort treatment services for this category of citizens in the total amount of 17.1 million UAH for 665 people.

Within the framework of the meeting, the public organization "Tabir Maksymum" and PJSC "Myrgorodkurort" presented their initiatives regarding the organization of veterans' rehabilitation.

Special attention was paid to providing social care services for evacuated residents of the Donetsk region by the communities. Currently, there are about 2,200 lonely elderly people in the region, including 500 people with disabilities.

To ensure proper care, military administrations of settlements in Donetsk have organized the provision of home care social services in safer regions of Ukraine. In total, nearly 200 evacuated residents are already receiving such support.

The Shakhtarsk and Selydivska military administrations will soon open supported living and stationary care facilities in Cherkasy and Odesa regions.

As a result of the meeting, a number of decisions were made aimed at improving the provision of social services and further strengthening support for the civilian population of the region under martial law.

The Coordination Center continues its work on forming an effective assistance system for citizens affected by hostilities.
