On July 15, Ukrainians celebrate the Day of Ukrainian Statehood. This important state holiday honors the centuries-old history, the resilience of the Ukrainian spirit, the language, culture, and traditions of our people.
On this festive day, humanitarian hubs/centers established for residents of the Donetsk region in safe areas of Ukraine held a series of patriotic events for children and adults that strengthened the sense of Ukrainian unity.
During informational and educational hours and lectures titled "In Unity, There is Strength and Power of the State," "Ukraine! You are my state," "Ukrainian Statehood: Stages of Formation," dedicated to key events: the Day of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus and the Day of the Adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty, children and adults learned about the historical roots of modern Ukraine, the significance of these dates for national consciousness and the formation of statehood.
Educational quest games "My Picturesque Ukraine," "Traveling through Ukraine," "Our State is Our Native Land," "Ukraine is My Destiny and My Life" united children in educational and creative activities, where they solved thematic crosswords, guessed riddles, created associative bushes, and continued poetic lines.
In the locations, a series of master classes "Trident" took place, where participants created their own symbol of Ukrainian strength and unity from corrugated and colored paper, cardboard, felt, fleece, and foamiran.
The "Bracelets of Unity" made from yellow and blue ribbons, beads, and symbolic knots became signs of unity, faith in victory, and support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the creative events "Symbols of Statehood," bright applications in the shape of a map of Ukraine decorated with yellow-blue hearts and flowers were created, where everyone left a piece of their soul.
Informative and entertaining events "There is Such a State - Ukraine," "Ukraine is My Destiny and My Life" consisted of cleverness contests, crossword solving, quizzes, and active folk games that united the youth of Donetsk around the fundamental values of our state.
In the locations, "Living Word" echoed - poetry by Lina Kostenko, Vasyl Symonenko, Taras Shevchenko; visitors read patriotic poems filled with love for Ukraine.
Book exhibitions "Ukrainian Statehood: A Path Through the Centuries," "Statehood Dreamed by Generations," "One Ukraine" revealed the centuries-old history of Ukraine's establishment, its struggle for independence, and current achievements.
Watching animated films, thematic films, and video presentations for the Day of Ukrainian Statehood revealed fascinating facts about key events of the past, inspiring even more pride in being Ukrainian.
The patriotic flash mob created by children became an inspiration for all and a reminder that love for the homeland begins in childhood.
This day was filled with knowledge, memory, and unity in the formation of a strong state.
Visitors to the humanitarian hubs/centers participated in laying flowers at the monuments to Taras Shevchenko - the symbol of our struggle, language, and spirit.
Today, the residents of Donetsk felt pride in our heritage, the strength of spirit, and the resilience of the Ukrainian people.
To preserve unity today, to work together for victory - is the most important national task that we all fulfill for the sake of victory!
