Wartime youth policy requires systematic and consistent effort rather than isolated measures.
This was the focus of a working meeting between Serhii Horbunov, Head of the Kostiantynivka City Military Administration, and Youth Advisor Kristina Vasyliuk.
Today, the youth of the Kostiantynivka community are scattered across various parts of Ukraine and abroad. Therefore, the primary task is to clearly identify exactly where our young fellow residents are located, what needs they have, and how they are willing to remain engaged in the life of their home community.
To this end, a comprehensive survey of the community's youth is planned for the near future. Based on its findings, a detailed action plan for the next six months will be developed.
The focus is not only on addressing young people's immediate needs but also on the long term: education and professional development, preserving the community's human capital, supporting initiatives, and creating opportunities for youth participation in the early recovery of Kostiantynivka.
Young people, regardless of their current location, must be involved in generating ideas, developing projects, and making decisions regarding the future of their home region.
"We must work with young people right now so that, once the active phase of hostilities ends, we have a formed team of people ready to return, work, build, and rebuild their community," emphasized Serhii Horbunov, Head of the Kostiantynivka City Military Administration.
