The Kramatorsk City Community continues to develop interregional cooperation as part of the national initiative “Side by Side: United Communities.” The latest step in this direction was the participation of Igor Stashkevych, Secretary of the Kramatorsk City Council, in a meeting with the heads of general secondary education institutions in the Khust community, which took place at the Department of Education, Religion, and Nationalities of the Khust City Council Executive Committee.
During the meeting, the opportunities offered by the Donbas State Machine-Building Academy and vocational and technical education institutions in Donetsk Oblast were presented; these institutions are relocating to Zakarpattia and will begin in-person classes in the city of Khust as early as this year.
This initiative is not only about preserving the educational potential of Donetsk Oblast but also about creating new opportunities for young people—to receive a quality technical education close to home and build a professional future in Ukraine, at enterprises currently being established in Zakarpattia.
Special attention was given to career guidance for students, organizing meetings with parents, and developing partnerships between education and business. Such collaboration allows young people to better navigate modern professions and gain practical experience while still in school.
The cooperation between Kramatorsk and Khust is an example of how communities, united by common challenges, find effective solutions for development and support. At a time when Ukrainian cities are forced to overcome the consequences of war, it is precisely this kind of interaction that becomes the foundation for resilience and recovery.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Khust community and all the communities of Zakarpattia for their hospitality, support during this difficult time for Kramatorsk, and openness to cooperation. Your help is not only about the present, but also about the shared future we are building together.
By joining forces, we continue to create an environment of new opportunities, where education serves as the foundation for the development of communities and the country.
