The Side by Side: United Communities project continues to expand cooperation between Ukrainian municipalities. Its main goal is to build horizontal ties between communities, strengthen their resilience, promote mutual support during wartime, and create joint solutions to overcome humanitarian and social challenges.
The Kramatorsk city community is taking another step in this direction by launching a partnership with the Stryi city community.
The memorandum of cooperation was signed by the head of the Kramatorsk city military administration, Oleksandr Goncharenko, and the head of the Stryi community, Oleg Kanivets.
Earlier, as part of the project, Kramatorsk had already signed similar memoranda of partnership with the Perechyn, Khust, and Berdychiv communities. Systematic work is ongoing to expand and scale up joint projects in various areas, from humanitarian support to support for plans to rebuild the city.
"For Kramatorsk, this is not just a document — it is about real solidarity and support. Our community, which is on the front line, sees what war is like every day, and assistance from partner communities is vital — from eliminating the consequences of shelling to creating adequate conditions for the accommodation of internally displaced persons. We sincerely hope that our cooperation with Stryi will open up new opportunities to join forces and help people," said Oleksandr Honcharenko.
Mutual assistance between communities is the foundation of our national resilience. Together, we will overcome everything!
