Stepan Hospodinov and his father Oleksii were killed on March 13, 2022, by an airstrike on the Left Bank district of Mariupol. At that moment, they were cooking food in the yard near the house at 32/42 Peremohy Avenue. In just a few days, on March 17, Stepan was supposed to turn 24.
The Hospodinov family lived in a private house. On March 3, it burned down as a result of shelling, and they had to move to relatives who were sheltering in the Left Bank district. That is where the tragedy occurred…
Stepan was born and lived in Mariupol. From childhood, he was interested in boxing and later began practicing it professionally. He received an education in “physical culture and sports.” Stepan was his father’s right hand in the family business.
“He was a wonderful person. Kind, sincere. I have never seen so much kindness and, in a way, even childlike naivety in anyone else. Styopka was always a good friend. Everyone loved him since childhood and still loves him to this day,” said his younger sister Anastasiia.
