The Russian Orthodox Church is increasingly using religion as a propaganda tool. For example, a fresco appeared in a church on the territory of the Valaam monastery, depicting a Russian soldier with the Z symbol bandaging the head of a Ukrainian soldier. Next to it is an image of the Savior.
Such images are not about mercy or "brotherhood." This is nothing more than the promotion of Kremlin propaganda through sacred space. Temples, icons, church interiors - everything works to justify aggression and create the illusion of a "sacred mission."
The Russian Orthodox Church does not just bless the war - it justifies violence, helps to remove moral responsibility from soldiers and prepares society for even more bloodshed. For the Kremlin, the church is no longer about spirituality. It has become another tool for mobilization and control.
