The chamber orchestra of the Ivan Karabits Bakhmut College of Culture and Arts is participating in a large-scale concert tour of cities in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The event is timed to coincide with the fourth anniversary of resistance to full-scale aggression by the Russian Federation.

The project is being implemented on the initiative of the Swiss branch of Prostir (Lucerne) and with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Swiss Confederation.

Despite the college's relocation to Kamianets-Podilskyi in the Khmelnytskyi region, the team, led by Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine Tetiana Shybaieva and conductor Oleksandr Starozhilov, has prepared a highly professional programme. The delegation includes 13 leading teachers and students from the educational institution in the field of culture.

From 16 to 27 February 2026, performances will take place in the largest cities:

Shaun (Liechtenstein), Zug, Lucerne, Bern, Basel and Geneva.

Official representatives of European municipalities and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Swiss Confederation, Iryna Venediktova, are expected to attend.

The mission of the Bakhmut musicians is to speak to the world in a language that needs no translation. Every note is a thank you for supporting Ukraine, every performance is proof that culture cannot be destroyed, even by war. This is music about pain and strength, about loss and faith, about the unbreakable Donetsk region, which continues to sound despite everything.
