As part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," aimed at supporting outpost communities, a cultural trip was organized for residents of Bakhmut in Kremenchuk, allowing them to get to know the city, its artistic space, and historical heritage better.

The event included two different types of tours, each of which revealed Kremenchuk in its own way. The first took place at the Kremenchuk Art Gallery. Its specialists introduced the guests to the permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions, told them about the work of local artists and the history of the creation of the works on display. For many Bakhmut residents, this was an opportunity to take a break from their daily worries and spend time in a calm, meaningful atmosphere.

This was followed by a theatrical walk through Kremenchuk. It combined a tour of iconic locations with interactive elements and a lively narrative about the city's past. Participants actively took part in a history quiz, demonstrating their interest and knowledge. The most active participants were rewarded with commemorative gifts.

During the tour, participants noted the historical parallels between Bakhmut and Kremenchuk. Both cities have a long history and a distinct character, and they were founded in the same year — 1571. This provided another opportunity for dialogue and exchange of impressions.

The residents of Bakhmut also visited the Iceberg ice arena, which has already become a favorite meeting place for the Bakhmut community — a space for communication, unity, and a sense of winter wonder.

Such meaningful initiatives not only help communities get to know each other better, but also foster an atmosphere of openness and mutual support. Joint cultural events are an important part of integrating people affected by war into the life of the host community.
