As part of the fourth wave of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," the Novogrodivka city community in Donetsk Oblast signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Tyachiv city community in Zakarpattia Oblast.
On December 16, 2025, the document symbolizing unity and mutual support was signed by Olga Sidorova, deputy head of the Novogrodivska MBA, and Vladislav Bratyuk, first deputy mayor of Tyachiv.
This is the second memorandum for the Novogrodivska community in the "Side by Side: United Communities" project, following the partnership with the Kalush community. The community joined the initiative only in the fourth wave, but managed to approve two partnerships within a limited time frame.
The acquaintance with Tyachiv turned out to be extremely rich and heartfelt. The city, which this year celebrated its 696th anniversary since its first mention, impressed with its combination of deep history and innovative approach to development.
During the visit, representatives of the Novogrodivka community got acquainted with Tyachiv and its history, visited Tyachiv Lyceum No. 1 named after V. Grendzha-Donsky, and learned about the work of social, educational, sports, and youth institutions in the community.
The cooperation between the Novogrodivka and Tyachiv communities is not just on paper, but in real life. An event is already planned for January, thanks to which children from the Novogrodivka community will be able to visit this hospitable region in person, experience its comfort, and meet their peers.
Together, we are proving that distance does not matter when hearts beat in unison for the victory and development of Ukraine.
