A forum entitled "Digitalization in the Field of Energy Efficiency" was held in Kyiv, organized by the Eastern Europe Foundation with the support of the project "Promoting Energy Efficiency and Implementing the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine" (GIZ Ukraine).
Representatives of the Department for the Development of Basic Industries of the Donetsk Regional State Administration joined the forum.
The forum was dedicated to presenting the achievements of state policy in the field of energy efficiency and discussing digitalisation processes, in particular the role of the National Database of Energy and Operational Characteristics of Buildings in the implementation of energy efficiency and thermal modernisation measures.
The forum presented the experience of the Ministry of Finance in implementing the exemplary role of public buildings in the field of energy efficiency, which is enshrined in the EU directives on energy efficiency and the Law of Ukraine "On Energy Efficiency of Buildings."
To support the implementation of energy management and the dissemination of best practices in energy efficiency in the public sector, two manuals have been developed: one with practical lessons from the pilot project on the energy modernization of the Ministry of Finance building and one with recommendations on the implementation of energy management by public authorities and institutions. Both manuals are available on the Eastern Europe Foundation website.
