An anniversary concert titled “30 Years with ‘Apelsin’—A Creative Evening with Viktor Kovalenko” took place in Sheptytskyi, featuring internally displaced persons from the Pokrovska community. They were able to attend the event thanks to cooperation within the “Side by Side: United Communities” project.

The concert was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Viktor Kovalenko’s artistic career. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy the music, become acquainted with the artist’s work, and spend time at a cultural event.

Thanks to this partnership, residents of the Pokrovska community who are currently staying in Sheptytsky regularly participate in the city’s cultural life, attending plays, concerts, and other artistic events.

“It’s very gratifying that our partnership continues and is enriched by joint initiatives. Thanks to this collaboration, residents of the Pokrovsk community have the opportunity to regularly attend performances, concerts, and other cultural events. This is a great opportunity to engage with the arts, gain new experiences, and enjoy their time,” said Dmytro Shynkar, director of the “Yednannia” Humanitarian Hub.

The concert also served a charitable purpose: the admission fee was 100 hryvnias, and the proceeds were designated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The “Side by Side: United Communities” project promotes partnerships between communities and creates opportunities for joint cultural initiatives, new encounters, and connections.
