An important component of the activities of educational institutions in the Donetsk region in the current conditions is the expansion and strengthening of systematic cooperation between relocated institutions. Such interaction allows for the effective consolidation of the region's pedagogical and scientific potential, the preservation of professional traditions, and the creation of new opportunities for the comprehensive training of young people.

As part of this partnership, Igor Kuzmin, a tourism instructor at the Donetsk Regional Center for Tourism and Local History for Schoolchildren, conducted an in-depth theoretical class on orienteering for cadets of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.

The training program focused on thorough preparation in classrooms, with an emphasis on the basics of cartography, reading sports maps, and the specifics of orienteering in different terrain conditions.

The theoretical part had a clear practical focus: future law enforcement officers worked on decision-making algorithms while on the move and learned to work professionally with conventional symbols for terrain features.

Mastering orienteering skills is an important part of cadets' professional training, as it allows them to operate effectively in unfamiliar territory and confidently perform their duties in complex spatial conditions. The knowledge gained will serve as a solid foundation for further practical training in the field and will help future specialists successfully apply their professional skills during their service.
