On the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, which is traditionally celebrated in Ukraine on October 27, the Toretsk community and its partners are launching a literary flash mob "Reading Side by Side."
As part of the project "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities," the Toretsk, Ruzhyn and Kaniv communities joined forces to launch this flash mob.
The aim of the initiative is to show that, despite the distance, we are strongly united by the Ukrainian language, cultural code and love of literature.
This flashmob is not just a creative challenge, but a sincere opportunity to unite people around common values, inspire each other, and emphasize the unbreakable power of the Ukrainian word.
How to join the flash mob
1. Record a short video in which you read your favorite poem or an excerpt from a prose work by a Ukrainian poet or writer.
2. Add hashtags:

We invite everyone - from the youngest readers to experienced fans of Ukrainian literature.
Together, we will create a celebration of the Ukrainian word that unites hearts, inspires and affirms the strength, beauty and invincibility of the Ukrainian language.
"Reading Side by Side" is an example of how communities unite to preserve and develop the cultural heritage of Ukraine.
