The regional cultural and artistic campaign ‘Marathon of Good Deeds’ continues its mission to bring smiles and a sense of celebration to children who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war.

This time, the cosy town of Perechyn in Zakarpattia became the epicentre of light and wonder.

Artists from the Donetsk Academic Regional Drama Theatre (Mariupol) brought a real fairy tale to the children of Donetsk region. At the Perechyn District House of Culture, they performed a touching play called ‘St. Nicholas' Postmen’. This is a magical story about friendship, kindness and belief in miracles, which instantly immersed the students of the First Kramatorsk Lyceum in the atmosphere of a Christmas tale. The happy eyes of the audience and the sincere laughter of the children are the best confirmation of how important it is to feel the support of your native land, even when you are far from home.

But the surprises did not end there. The artists also visited the Kalinka kindergarten of the Kramatorsk City Council to congratulate the youngest pupils from Donetsk region.

We are confident that communicating with the heroes of the play will leave warm memories for the children. At the end of each meeting, all the children received sweet gifts, feeling the care and attention of the organisers of the event.

The ‘Marathon of Good Deeds’ is living proof that Ukrainians know how to unite and support each other in the most difficult times. This event continues to unite hearts and give the little ones of Donetsk a piece of home, warmth and New Year's magic.

We thank all the organisers and artists for these unforgettable emotions and the light you bring!
