Published 20 November 2025 year, 19:20

A regional meeting of student self-government leaders in Donetsk region was held. The meeting was dedicated to Children's Day, which will be celebrated in Ukraine on November 20 starting in 2025.

More than 50 active schoolchildren from across the region gathered online to elect new leaders and determine an action plan for the 2025–2026 academic year.

On this day, participants:

- elected the Chair of the Regional Council of Student Self-Government Leaders;

- listened to the powerful programs of 10 candidates on the topic “Online Unity of Donetsk Region: Projects, Communication, Leadership”;

- formed committees;

 - elected the Chair of the Children's Advisory Council at the Donetsk Regional Council of Student Self-Government.

Despite the difficult circumstances and distances, a special atmosphere of unity prevailed throughout the meeting.

Ten candidates were nominated for the position of Chair of the Regional Council of Leaders, and they presented their impressive programs.

Anna Pavlenko, a student at Bakhmut Secondary School #10 of the Bakhmut City Council, won.

Just yesterday, activists sought to create a platform that would nurture future leaders, and today they have a Children's Advisory Council — a space where those who wish to can learn leadership in practice. This is where the future leaders of student self-government will emerge, who will later be able to lead others.

The candidates for the chair of the Children's Advisory Council were also worthy and powerful.

The winner was Damir Andreyko, a student at Bilitska Secondary School No. 10 in the Dobropilsk territorial community.

The organizers would like to thank all participants, candidates, mentors, and organizers! They are the true pride of Donetsk Oblast.
