An event was held at the Donetsk Oblast Cultural Hub in Kyiv, bringing joy, warmth and a real sense of celebration to the children of Donetsk Oblast. This day was an opportunity to pause, take a breath and believe again in the power of human attention and care.
Children from eight communities in the Donetsk region — Siverska, Vuhledarska, Maryinska, Staromlynivska, Khlibodarivska, Mariupolska, Pokrovska and Hrodivska — gathered at the cultural hub. Each of them came with their own expectations — and on this day, they were filled with light, smiles and sincere emotions.
Thanks to the support of the Donetsk Regional State Administration as part of the regional initiative ‘Marathon of Good Deeds,’ the hub space was transformed into a place of joy, openness and lively communication. The atmosphere here allowed children to feel safe, accepted and heard.
The festively decorated space came alive with children's laughter, creativity and movement. Master classes, interactive tasks, games and active entertainment became not only an interesting programme, but also an opportunity for self-expression, new acquaintances and shared joy.
The children's emotions — sincere smiles, interested glances and a feeling of unity that cannot be faked — were a special part of this event. They were the best confirmation of how important such meetings are.
The finale of the holiday was the presentation of sweet gifts to each child — as a symbol of attention, warmth and care, which left behind bright memories.
Such events prove once again that joint efforts, caring and support can create a space of joy, trust and faith in tomorrow for children.
